Laura Elliott
President, Partnerships & Engagement
Laura Elliott helped co-found InspereX’s predecessor firm Incapital in 1999. As Co-Head of InspereX’s Fixed Income division, she specializes in business development and relationships with the firm’s top-tier clients.
Previously, Ms. Elliott worked at ABN AMRO as Syndicate Manager for the GMAC SmartNotes program, responsible for all dealer relationships. Prior to ABN AMRO, she was at Mesirow Financial for nine years, working consecutively in compliance, retail and institutional sales, and high-yield trading.
Ms. Elliott earned her BS in education from the University of Alabama and currently serves on the President’s Cabinet at the university. She has served as a member of the Bond Dealers of America board and the SIFMA Retail Fixed Income committee. She belongs to the Women’s Syndicate Association and the Security Traders Association of Chicago.
George Holstead
President, Fixed Income
George Holstead is Co-Head of InspereX’s Fixed Income division, encompassing all fixed income trading, dealer and institutional sales, and the capital markets practice, including debt and equity syndicate businesses, and the firm’s industry-leading InterNotes program, offering individual investors access to new issue corporate debt offerings.
Mr. Holstead joined InspereX in 2019, bringing more than two decades of sales experience coupled with a track record of establishing and expanding highly successful fixed income divisions for large regional broker-dealers such as Raymond James and Sterne Agee. Prior to InspereX, he was a managing director at Brean Capital, where he was responsible for the build-out of the Middle Market and Financial Institutions Group.
A graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, Mr. Holstead holds FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 24, and 63 licenses.
Jodi Waber
Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Finance
Jodi is a Managing Director and the Head of Sustainable Finance in the firm’s Capital Markets department. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with a background in the capital markets, syndicate, and fixed income trading. Her current focus is fixed income placement across sectors, and she covers many of InspereX’s programmatic debt issuers. She co-led the creation of the firm’s impact investment platform. Key issuers she has brought to the firm’s programmatic debt issuance platform include Capital Impact Partners, Century Housing, International Finance Corporation, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and the World Bank. Prior to joining InspereX, Ms. Waber was the Head of Private Equity Business Development for a family office and a U.S. Agency bond trader for LaSalle/ABN AMRO. She earned a BA from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Miami.
John Tolar
Managing Director, Head of Fixed Income Sales
John Tolar oversees InspereX’s Dealer Sales and Institutional Sales teams, including all efforts to bring InterNotes corporate debt, U.S. agencies, CDs, corporates, mortgage- and asset-backed securities, preferred stock, and municipal bonds to broker-dealers, institutional investors, registered investment advisors, and banks. He has been with the firm since 2003. Previously, Mr. Tolar held sales roles at Countrywide Securities and FTN Financial, and worked as a Portfolio Manager for SunTrust Bank. He earned a BS in business from Florida State University and holds Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
Denton Jacobs
Lead Software Architect, Fixed Income
Denton Jacobs serves as Lead Software Architect for InspereX’s Fixed Income division, leading all engineering efforts related to the firm's proprietary online issuer interface, as well as other fixed income applications. Mr. Jacobs joined the firm in 2011 and after a short stint with Guggenheim Partners, rejoined in 2016 and has been instrumental in powering the firm’s broad distribution. Prior to InspereX, he was a Senior Consultant at West Monroe Partners. Mr. Jacobs graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Religious Studies. He is currently enrolled at the University of Chicago to earn a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics. He holds Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses.
